Bidra med feedbackWe stopped here for lunch while passing through. We had booked and it was just as well as the place was full. We had two beef pies and a child's chicken and mushroom pie. Our plates were overflowing. It was all fine, but there was just too much, so we didn't have room for puddings. The service was slow.
Had an amazing lunch for a 40th Birthday celebration-Food was piping hot and the staff and service was superb, staff gave 100
Today was the first time I had been to The Tap House for Sunday Lunch. Mash potatoes were full of lumps, roast potatoes were hard only half cooked, couldn’t cut through the carrots, peas were hard, beef was very rare (which I’m sure a lot of people like, but not me or my other 3 family members). Stuffing was nice. For £16.95 a head I expected a lovely, tasty carvery. My crumble wasn’t cooked cold. I asked for it to be warmed up the young boy brought me another portion that was not cooked properly cold. The staff were very polite didn’t charge me for the pudding. This isn’t just my opinion the 4 of us felt the same. I noticed there was a lot of food wasted throughout the pub. Such a shame as it was a birthday treat for my sister.
Today was the 4th time as a family we have been this year, it never fails to amaze me how simply delicious and fresh the meals are. Extremely busy today 20th December. But the service and friendliness of the staff was excellent, nothing is ever too much trouble. I highly recommend to all our family and friends
Nice cosy pub which does a great sunday lunch. Vegetarian option was lovely and I enjoyed it. Puddings are nice too. Cosy atmosphere and dog friendly.
