Xing Fu Tang Scarborough

Totally different from what I brought in Hwy7 taste like syrup mixed w/

I was so excited to try Xing Fu Tang after hearing from our New York friends how good this is in NY when it opened. Well, this was just a huge disappointment! The boba is supposedly cooked fresh in a wok and the consistency should be very thick and sticky due to the caramelized brown sugar. This was watery!! My signature milk tea drink was basically all milk with watery brown sugar boba! It was horrible and I had to throw it out. This guy did not know what he was doing and definitely didn't care about the quality of the products/drinks he made and sold. My husband's fruit tea was also not good.

I’ve been to other Xing Fu Tangs in the area and was taken aback by the low quality here. Ordered their signature brown sugar milk and basically got just milk and no brown sugar (see image).

Never coming back here. Employee was very rude to the customer before us. She was only asking if the bubble tea can be made without fresh milk and his answer was very condescending, only powder here or something like that. When it was our turn, we wanted a dalgona coffee and instead of telling us nicely there was no more coffee for today. No coffee. In a tone that’s not appropriate to talk to anyone. I think he’s the owner which explains the nonchalant attitude.

XFT is my absolute favorite bubble tea joint because their tapioca sits in brown sugar which gives it that added layer of flavour. I tried going to other places after discovering this place but end up being disappointed. Extra bubbles please!
