Cafe Mezzanotte - Northchase

Chris the bartender is amazing, he can make any drink you ask or give him a hint of what you like and he will make you something, Chris never disappoints in his unique cocktails. Chris knows what wines to pair with dinner as well! Sergio the chef is unbelievable, the Bronzino melts in your mouth and the special that night was a clam pasta dish, the best I have ever had! This is definitely our go to restaurant for a great meal, drinks and service!

Overall great food and always friendly staff. Great old school Italian food and vibes. The drink selection is great, and the mussels are some of the best I’ve ever had. For an entree I’d definitely recommend the chicken parm.

Arugula salad with shaved parm was soooo good, as was the complimentary bread with brushetta topping on the side. My husband enjoyed the chicken parm with pasta, and it was a very large portion. I honestly wasn't crazy about my fettuccine bolognese. It was a bit bland. I had to request salt and pepper to help it along, since there was none on the table. But I've been here several times and it's always good. I'll be back.

Another delightful evening at Cafe Mezzanotte, this time with friends. We were warmly welcomed and seated at a comfortable table for four. Service was exceptional and dinner was delicious we had a variety of exquisite dishes, including pasta, seafood and a tasty chicken parmigiana. We were also served a melt in your mouth beef medallion dish prepared to a perfect medium rare. We were celebrating a special birthday and it was acknowledged by staff with one of their homemade cannoli including a candle! It was another enjoyable, memorable evening and we so look forward to coming back to Cafe Mezzanotte again and again.

I am traveling for business. I use the company credit card. I ate and paid. Because I didn 't leave a tip, the waitress spoke to me very rudely at the exit of the restaurant, loudly enough for the customers to hear. You didn 't give me a tip, she said. Yes, I use a company card. If you write it as a service fee on the receipt, I can give it to you, but when I write it down as a tip, i said I can 't explain it to my bosses. Then she said you will give it, you will give cash if necessary, etc. she said. Her speaking tone was very bad. She told me that you insulted me by not giving me a tip. This is America, this is a rule etc she said. I said, I 've been in Wilmilgton for 10 days, I 've eaten a lot of food, I 've never experienced such a disrespectful conversation anywhere. I was going to go with 4 friends this evening, but I canceled it. I don 't want to force people to eat in such a disrespectful behavior. As for the food, I did not like very much the meat very much but it was okay anyway, the pasta was very good. I last drank water while getting up from the table. They used city water from the tap, but its chlorinated taste spoiled my taste. The waitress was very disrespectful. This is a place I won 't want to go to again unless an apology is made. Actually waitress is very important in restaurant. She was very rude.
