The Brown Bag - Northport

The Brown Bag Restaurant is the perfect spot for delicious Southern cuisine served with welcoming hospitality! My personal favorites are the catfish, the BBQ, and the delightful kitschy dish called “Schwieger”!

This is always my goal for fantastic food prepared with love. My son studied today at the University of Alabama. 6 of us ate here. No other restaurant was even a reflection. While other parents cloged for reservations in the bustling restaurants in Tuscaloosa, we ate at this piece of jewelry of a facility and all shaved about the food and the owners. Mama Brown, Phyllis and Corey feel like family. We love you!

The food is always delicious, and the staff are wonderful! I absolutely love this place!

Large grill and meat and three options. Oh, and the buttermilk cake is from this world! Even better service/people make this a favorite of ours.

I prefer dining here over many of the upscale restaurants downtown. The atmosphere makes me feel like family, and the barbecue, catfish, and vegetables are fantastic.
