Gourmet Burger Kitchen - Norwich

Food not too bad. Location central. Service average. Prices a little bit dearer than expected. Good range of burgers and other combinations.

I ordered from Deliveroo a little while ago and I have to say it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! The bun was incredibly soft, and the patty was cooked perfectly medium rare. The quality of the ingredients was impressive. I also requested to have certain parts of the dressing removed, and it came just the way I asked! I’ll definitely be visiting in person when I’m in the city center!

An average experience at a restaurant that felt overpriced. We ordered the Merry Stuffing Christmas Burger, which was stuffed fuller than Santa's sack. However, it turned out to be a medium-sized burger that, to be honest, was underwhelming given the price. Additionally, I had to request a clean fork because mine had food residue on it, and the backs of some of the chairs were quite dirty.

While chains generally provide a reliable experience, I regret to say this one has consistently served me underwhelming meals. I tried the seasonal Ninja Chicken Burger, drawn in by the novelty of a charcoal bun, but it turned out to be a disaster— the Katsu curry sauce was a flavor clash and made the bread soggy. Their regular beef burgers also left much to be desired. The option of Skinny Fries and Chunky Chips is a nice touch, but even that went wrong for me once. During my meal, I accidentally knocked the last half of my chips off the plate onto the floor, and while I awkwardly tried to clean up my mess, the staff completely ignored me, despite feeling their eyes on me. I wouldn't have expected or asked for replacement chips since I dropped them myself, but it would have been nice if they acknowledged the situation and offered to take away the food rather than making me feel uncomfortable with their stares. In all honesty, despite its popularity, GBK is more of a last resort for me. There's another sit-down burger chain across the plaza that offers better food and service for a similar price.
