le Moulin du Mazel

So I stay in France with my extended family. we stay in Notre-Dame-de-la-Rouvière and we drove past this place every day and said: “That looks good” so last day we decided to go to lunch. managed to book a book for 8 within a...hour call. it is a beautiful day so that their outside seats beside a picturesque river is everything they want from a restaurant. many other diners who like to see how locals always know a bad place and in frankly it will burn out from the business asap. Now I love a restaurant with a simple menu. Not many options that trust a real one in the food they use. this trust is well placed. I went for a set menu of goat cheese on to home made brioche with filet mignon of dried pork and truffle oil. it was excellent. even that was accompanied was made to house and delicious. I am a great fan of the escape when I go to frankreich and the main course of the duck served with apfel sauce, kartoffel and sweet medley was also excellent. finished with what the waiter described as a special dessert of the apple in a light bake with caramel sauce. everything was delicious. the owner and the waiter spoke English (not a requirement for us, but not the less appreciated) and the bill was appropriate and appropriate for the level of the kitchen and service (which may sometimes be a bit of dodgy in france) if they are close, I would check it.

We live near le vigan and thought we would look by for an early dinner. the location is beautiful, directly at the river and the terrace spacious enough that they do not feel, tamed and can have a comfortable conversation. the food I understand is fresh and cooked to order. some interesting dishes and very tasty. the cheerful legs Provencale were delicious. perhaps something on the expensive side for the cevennes, but worth the price, as eating is not disappointed. the greeting, however, is clearly frosty. no interaction with the customers, not even a smile. the French reviews of this restaurant refer to this aspekt. and the restaurant reacts to these reviews and sadnesses are quite openly shocking. it is always the fault of the customer. I do not see why the owners cannot see that a simple smile or talk with the customers makes for a warmer experience that the customer returns and recommends it as truly great place to dine. because, yes. some of the customers live in the environment and are not all disturbing tourist (the cevennes need these tourist, but not sure that this place really likes them)! I would have liked to go back, but why should I visit other cevenol restaurants, their owners and employees a warm welcome and know how to be satisfied with their customers. that is the character of the cevennes who always say hello and farewell to be kind.

We visited this restaurant several times with our friends and found eating always very well with fresh products and excellent sauces and a nice reception. we would recommend this restaurant to everyone in the opposite.

Beautifully located, along the Herault river, we have been enjoying again the kindness of Julia and her husband. She is presenting the genuine products of his cuisine, well made and with surprising combinations of flavors. The last time we went, we were accompanied by friends....They too, like we, will come back again and again, everytime we are in the area. Highly recommended!

The location for this restaurant is stunning, only from a beautiful river in a very quiet place. eating is beautifully fresh classic French eating and julia, which it operates is English that makes communication easy. there are beautiful walks in the mountains of. close to the restaurants also.
