Antica Trattoria Gerli - NOVIGLIO

I passed yesterday for a business lunch and I can say I really felt great. I did not expect a menu of the day so rich of first and second dishes to satisfy every palate. Excellent and cheerful service. After lunch I had a chance to exchange just two words with the chef and I came to hug him as much as they made me feel welcomed. Too bad I live 40km from the trattoria, really sin. I wish you all the best and thank you, thank you, thank you.

We went to magic in two couples with children. poor appetizer (and dear to say). first good dishes, but we were charged as the first normal a white pasta taken for children... typical country atmosphere but honestly in the area there is better...

We came to this place, which I know very well, to celebrate Mom's birthday. Proportionate and very good appetizer. Paper orders where some did not take the first and others the second, in any case all very good. Cake brought by us, lap of bitter and coffee. Drink in all 5 bottles of very normal barber, plus some water. Being in 13, we paid 39 euros per head.... I take the account very exaggerated in relation to what we took. I recommend if you are in more people, in order to avoid bad surprises, to pay in advance the price. Needless to say, I don't know if I'll come back.

It's like getting back to eating from an aunt of my childhood: lumbar flavors are the same. Quality ingredients and simple dishes in the silence of the countryside. There are no more places like this and I always go back. There is also a garden where children can go out and you can take a walk through the fields to dispose of the slaughterhouses or sit and sip the mistress of the friars. It's a restaurant once, if you like fake-authentic trattorias you're off the road. Here you eat well.
