Bidra med feedbackThere were 4 of us and the service and the food were excellent. I had red Snapper Filet and it was delicious. The garlic shrimps were huge and well seasoned. My wife had Mahi and they were huge and hot.
We enjoy our new found Mexican retreat. Nuevo Progresso is not as we are used as well. That's why we're going to come back. It's not like you get super offers on everything. Maybe the pharmacies are a deal, but we certainly ask ourselves about the quality of the drugs. The pages and people are new and exciting for us. The Red Snapper is one of the new places we enjoyed on this second trip to this area. It is just a few minutes walk from the border wall. We were hungry, so that after crossing the border, we were going straight to there. The atmosphere was interesting. We even suffered one of the Mexican power failures while we waited for our dinner. Everyone took it on a cool November day to enter light into the dark room. They had an electric piano player there singing and playing for the diners. Out service was a bit confusing. We had several people who tend. No problem, but we were not sure who was talking about our drinks or foods. It seemed for dinner and drinks. If you told the wrong one about what you want the message to be lost. Even pleasant service experience. You really want to like it. Our food was a decent value. We had a T Bone Steak and Chicken Fajitas. It was good. What was really great was the shrimp ceviche. We loved it. The value for the experience was slightly 4 stars. Steak was $12,99 for a big piece of meat. Served with instant mashed potatoes with bacon bits and cheese blown up and fried beans. Margaritas were sold for a Happy Hour Special all day on a Saturday 2 for $4. They were probably 6 oz glasses where they were served and felt a decent value for an excellent drink. The best we had was the Margaritas. The experience here is really worth a stop. Our reviews, if we were fair, would put this place at 3 stars. However, if we add the appeal and the experience value, we feel that it takes up a bit so that you can see the 4 star rating here. Ambiance 3 Stars Romantic charm 4 Stars Value 5 Stars Food 3 Stars Renown 3 Stars Service 3 Stars 3.5 Stars so we become up to 4 Stars Round. Not our favorite Mexican culinary experience, but a worthy one. If we had returned, we would get the shrimp and margaritas. Both were up!
Upstairs, nice clean restaurant. The service is very good. You have live music. We typically get the special Mexican plate.
We have eaten here several times. The service is always good, they get your food out to you quickly and they have live entertainments with dancing. The restaurant is clean and the food portions are large. Very good place to eat when you're visiting Nuevo Progresso! Don't miss it!
When we arrived, the music was unbearable. We asked that it be put down and it was. Shortly afterwards, a singer began a live performance. Although I don't think that our waiter spoke much English (the friend I spoke with Spanish), he was attentive. I could have used more ice in my margarita, but it tastes good. I was thrilled to find frog legs on the menu and they were delicious. Overall I enjoyed this restaurant and will definitely return for the frog legs.
