Bidra med feedbackThe food was outstanding! I enjoyed my time dining at the Farm Neck Cafe.
Absolutely nice dinner, had the dry aged bone in ribeye with a wedge salad. Service was top notch and very fast.
We came for lunch, and I can say my meal was both delicious and satisfying. I ordered a hamburger cooked to perfection for $22, and it was clear that the quality of the meat was excellent. Others in our group tried different dishes, and everyone had positive things to say. We didn't have room for dessert, but the prices were what you would expect at a country club restaurant. The menu, complete with prices, is available online. The dress code is casual, though it's best to avoid anything too scruffy. As for the restaurant's name, I had no clue what it meant, but someone at our table made a correct guess! I'll leave it up to you to discover the meaning for yourself!
The food is delicious, the cocktail menu is outstanding, and the service is very attentive. It might have the best chicken wings and clam chowder on the island. Good luck finding something better!
Compared to nearly every other restaurant on the Vineyard, this one falls short. We had high hopes for a nice family dinner and were even excited about some of the menu items beforehand. We started with the chips and dip. If you've ever made dip yourself, you know it's not difficult to use up a whole pint of sour cream. What we received was a mountain of chips accompanied by just enough dip for about 12 bites, despite having around 50 large chips that required multiple dips. This isn’t an exaggeration, like the question of how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop. The small container of dip sitting next to the chips was simply insulting. Seeing that it was only three-quarters full was even more disappointing. To add insult to injury, we were charged $4 for another tiny portion of dip. We tried to overlook this chip debacle as we sipped our wine, but then our appetizer salad arrived. The salad was fine, but I found it unusual for all the entrees to come out alongside the appetizers unless specifically requested—which we hadn’t done. Again, we tried to carry on, but it was tough since the salad was dry with no dressing. After that, we decided to ask for the check and left. Perhaps we should have heeded the warning when our waiter discouraged us from ordering their subpar lobster dish. I would recommend avoiding this place and spending a little extra at a decent restaurant like l'étoile instead.
