Gene's Bread - Oak Island

Five stars!!! We recently moved to the island and decided to check out this restaurant based on the great reviews. We bought a half Red Velvet cake for my mother-in-law's birthday and the Chocolate Bourbon Bread just for fun. Both of them were absolutely delicious!!! We are excited to try more of their creations, but in moderation, of course.

During our family holiday, we decided to celebrate my daughter's birthday with a cake. I came across Nancy Jo's Bakery and placed an order. I requested a few roses to decorate the cake and was pleasantly surprised when I saw the final product. The cake was covered in beautiful rosettes all around! Not only was it visually stunning, but it also tasted delicious. The staff was extremely friendly. It was definitely a hit at the birthday party!

I went into Nancy Jo’s to support a local business and was delighted that the cake, Oreo truffles and brownies were even better than I had expected. My husband has decided that the Pig Picking cake is his favorite and will be required at all future celebrations. My only complaint is that my kids can hear me opening the cake cover and come to get some too

Three employees. No masks. my man and I had both on masks and were surprised to see this lack of care for their customers. first and last visit this bakery. be sure.
