Pluto's Beef Hot Dogs - Oak Lawn

The ambiance was awesome, the service was good but the food was just a little above average. I had Italian beef which tasted like any other. My husband has the cheeseburger as did my son. They both said it tasted great but overall, the prices charged could merit a larger quantity of food. We left but not really satisfied. Bring the prices down or the quantity of food up.

Greek salads with chicken are amazing here. Other food is good too. Overall a little on the pricey side but still a good option.Food: 4/5

I go for the gyros! The gyro platter is enough for three hungry people to split, just get extra pitas and sauce. The meat and sauce are DELICIOUS. The fries are really good also; burgers are just so so. I didn't have it, but husband said it's not the best. Atmosphere is friendly, fast food type dining, TVs always on with cooking shows and sitcoms make it kind of nice. Soup is pretty decent better than Subway, but not quite Panera, Mariano's or Corner Bakery. It's often cold inside so bring a jacket.Parking: Small parking lot, but enough because most people carry out.

First time coming here and the food and service were really good! The lady behind the drive through window was super friendly and went out of her way to make sure I had a great experience. Beef sandwiches and cheese fries are super tasty. Food was a bit on the pricier side though compared to places like Pops or Rosie’s.Food: 4/5

I have enjoyed Pluto’s food for many a year, feel embarrassed I say love “hole in the wall” when never said anything about Pluto’s. I was there today and took the photo. It sums this place up, straight up honesty. The portions are huge and prices are extremely reasonable. Since this is trip advisor, one might ask why I am recommending Pluto’s? Oak Lawn is riddled in fast food restaurants, and if staying the night many do with there being Hiltons, Doubletree, and all sorts in the area, Alsip included. Fast food is an easy option. McDonalds and many similar joints have become ridiculously expensive. About the best in the area is Portillos, but Plutos is Portillos with better quality, 20% cheaper, and classic Americana around for decades.
