Taqueria El Potrero - Oak Lawn

I ordered the steak torta and was extremely satisfied. The steak was excellent and packed with flavor! My only suggestion would be to make the hot sauce a bit spicier.

This will be my new go-to spot for delicious Mexican food. Our meals were freshly prepared, the rice was wonderfully fluffy, and the prices were very reasonable. I'm definitely planning to return for takeout using their drive-up service.

This was my first and last visit to this restaurant. I ordered a burrito dinner to go and even left a $5 tip before I received my order. When I got home and opened the box, I was shocked to find just a burrito—no beans, no rice, just the burrito and a single hot sauce. I paid $20 for this? What a disappointment! After a long 15-hour workday, I was really looking forward to a nice, quick meal, only to find out it was incorrect. I won't be coming back!

I read a few of the reviews and they were favorable. Unfortunately, I had a totally different experience. I ordered a steak burrito and the meat was tough as leather. In fact, from the looks and texture, I believe it was chopped cow tongue???? . Sadly, I will not be returning.

My wife and I were traveling up to visit a friend from out of state. We were craving mexican food but we were unfamiliar with the area. Glad that we discovered this place! Food was delicious and well priced! We ordered the steak burrito and pastordinner.
