Alamar Kitchen - Oakland

Seriously amazing food!! I went for my birthday with a couple friends and told them we were celebrating it so they brought us birthday shooters! We ordered the chile glazed plantains, tostones, the camarones criolla, the malecon chicken entree and the braised oxtail. Everything about the food was incredible and perfect and I’ll be thinking about this meal for a long time! The cocktails were also outstanding, we had the puerto claro and morir soñiando. We had the cheesecake for dessert which was one of the best cheesecakes I’ve tried in a long time! The restaurant itself is also really cute and they played good music while were there! I’ll definitely be back!!

This place is right on the money, literally. Great flavor and unique dishes that are just excellent, and new to me! Must try the fried goat, plantains and so much more...truly amazing, and changed my mind around goat! Great menu, well seasoned, and fully satisfied without causing a hole in my wallet...we will be back!

Our server Jesus was great. I had the Ox tail... delicious and had a bite of the lamb which was just as good.

I tried this place a few years ago and remembered he was good again. I have read some reviews today before I ordered and was surprised to see that some people think that eating is dry. I went ahead and ordered anyway and yup his still reeaaaaalllyyyyy good! I have the crab legs and two clam orders, one with steph curry sauce. it has a light curry taste and it is sweet. the garlic butter sauce is also great, it is better than many places I tried. the restaurant is located in oakland, which is a plus! I am so glad to have a real restaurant that serves delicious seafood in front of location. I don't know what people are talking about. I tried nothing else than the crawling and snuggle, but I'm going to definitiw. recommend this place the aromen are immaculate! and eating came hot. simply wonderful, many thanks to the chefs! you have made a pregnant lady who can not just eat everything very happy!

The food here is astonishingly good! Their guava margaritais are refreshing, delicious and strong! I just ate my meal there last night and am already dying to go back. I hate to say this, because i know the challenges of running a restaurant during covid, but the service is stilted and awkward. The QR code ordering system makes it difficult to understand the scope of the menu and because it's barely more than counter service, I didn't feel like i got the chance to try everything i wanted to try. I get the fast/casual trend but this food deserves so much more. All that being said, I will go back because the food is just that delectable. So much flavor and soul! Oakland is so lucky to have this establishment.
