The Lake Chalet Seafood Grill - Oakland

What an iconic restaurant, and it’s as beautiful as ever by the lake! The food is excellent, and the location and service are top-notch. I really appreciate the delicious vegan options, along with a dedicated vegan menu! The outdoor space is vast, and dining by the water is both enjoyable and serene at the same time.

Beautiful restaurant on Lake Merritt! I?m so glad we stopped by to have lunch here. We luckily got seated outside by the lake in a booth. It was comfortable and the fresh air felt nice. Staff members provided exceptional service and the food was delicious! The strawberry guava lemonade (not pictured) was a refreshing sweet and tart flavor. We enjoyed the Crab Melt Sandwich and Seafood Linguine (not pictured). Highly recommend this restaurant. It?s perfect for a date or outing with family and friends!

We were a group of 7 that came in at various times and the waiter did his best to keep our orders coming in as fast and close as possible (it was also a VERY busy Saturday! The alcoholic drinks were fantastic and the portions of meals were good size. However, the tables for larger groups are all quite close and it was very loud and difficult to hold conversations. But everyone had a great time!

We visited for Taco Tuesday and had a fabulous time. Our large group was easily accommodated with outdoor seating. The food and drinks were excellent, and the weather was perfect for dining outside. We were able to push some tables together, which worked out well. I tried the shrimp tostadas, chicken tacos, fish tacos, carne tacos, deviled eggs, calamari, and some oysters. Everything was delicious!

Great food with an amazing view! I visited for brunch and enjoyed the meal (it would be nice to have more breakfast options). The portion sizes were reasonable, and the drinks were tasty. Our server was extremely friendly. I also noticed that it's pet-friendly, as there were a few dogs around. The highlight, though, is definitely the view. Just take a look!
