Hampton's Restaurant - Oakville

We had dinner here while staying at the Quality Inn. The restaurant is connected to the hotel making it very convenient. Average meal about $15. The food was very good but service was terrible. That is my reason for a lower star rating. I will be going down the road somewhere for breakfast in the morning. I don't have time to wait for slow service.

We are a group of retirees who meet monthly for lunch. We have written previously to express out great pleasure with Hampton's so this is to confirm that the quality of food and service has continued over the years.Today we had a Christmas lunch for 60 and the event was perfectly managed from start to finish.These people care about the customer and the quality of food and service shows it!

We had fish and chips and a BLT and chips. The fish was crisp on the outside and steamy on the inside. The BLT was tasty but not out of the ordinary but the chips were hand cut and yummy. The service was good. It is a clean restaurant but needs a little freshening - it has that well-worn restaurant kind of smell. Not off-putting - just noticeable to me. I would definitely go back for the food though.

We only ate breakfast here so I can't speak to other meals. It was ok but my eggs and potato was sort of cold. The coffee was hot and good. My husband was satisfied with his oatmeal but they only brought a small portion of raisins to add and no nuts or other toppings. The server was pleasant.

I've read the reviews and I chose not to eat dinner here. I tried the breakfast here because how can mess up a breakfast. I got there on morning and it looked like there was a buffet going on, so I asked how much for the buffet. I was told that was only for a certain party of people in the back. Ok, so I decided to have a basic sausage, eggs, home fries and toast. There wasn't a lot on the plate but I wasn't really hungry anyway. I did find the toast stale and there was no butter on it. I wasn't overly impressed, but it was edible anyway. I don't recommend this restaurant . The waiter was courteous and friendly.
