Del Mar - Oamaru

Amazing! I loved it all. The in-house gelato really finished the meal off nicely. All the flavours worked really well together and it was all lovely and fresh. A bit pricey but I think it is worth it. Definitely will be back!

Beautiful smiling staff with wonderful conversation The food was gorgeous and tasted even better. This is quickly becoming our favorite place to dine.

The lunch we had was excellent, beautifully cooked food and really friendly attentive staff. It was a pretty pleasant experience altogether, and the restaurant's location is lovely. Also close by there is a Blue Penguin Colony place where you can go and see some penguins, sometimes even for free if they come past the gate!

Dinner for 4. We all had something different. The food was so delicious! The staff are happy and very eager to please, great service! Highly recommend Del Mar!

Our meal was meant to be a surprise and after reading recent reviews I was wondering just what sort of surprise it was to be. We ordered the platter to be shared in our case 5) and it arrived promptly and was full of delicious surprises. Mains were two squid, two hot pots and fish chips. The squid was absolutely first class, as good as any I have had and the rest of the table 2 who are in the hospitality business) were more than happy. We didn’t need a desert as we had eaten to our full. The ambience is good with the portable dividers full of greenery giving some privacy and the service were very helpful. Recommend.
