Ivy On The Square - Ocala

I prepared a wonderful lunch for my mother’s birthday today. I was particularly excited about the fried green tomatoes from the menu (my favorite) at the Ivy, and I was not disappointed. The southwest sauce added a fantastic touch. We both relished our lunch; the French dip was flavorful and loaded with meat, while the burger was just as impressive and juicy. I brought dessert back with me to Cocoa Beach, and I was delighted to find that the whipped cream was real and held up well during the two-hour trip without melting! I’ll definitely make it a point to try this gem for dinner the next time I’m in town.

I ordered the 12oz Ribeye, which was priced at $34 that day, while my wife opted for the fried cod. I was pleasantly surprised by the green beans, which were cooked with love and bacon; they were delicious! The whole grain bread was fantastic, and I discovered that I actually love carrots after trying theirs. However, I wasn't entirely impressed by the steak; I felt it could have used a little more salt and pepper, although it was still a good quality cut. My wife enjoyed her cod with the tartar sauce, which I must say was quite tasty! She also had the mac and cheese, which had a homemade taste reminiscent of my mother's cooking—creamy and flavorful. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience, and I look forward to returning for more dishes in the future!

What a delightful surprise! I stumbled upon this restaurant without any prior knowledge, and I was thrilled by the lovely atmosphere, both indoors and outdoors. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, and the food was excellent at great prices. The signature drinks were absolutely delicious. I can't wait to return! There was also lovely music playing over the street in the park, adding to the experience.

What a pleasant surprise! My wife and I went to a whim for our 25-year anniversary to be Ocala for the day. The service was excellent, from the bartender, who was really proud of their mixology on the pleasant server we had at the table. We started with bacon wrapped appointments that were absolutely fantastic. For our main course I had the Southern Shrimp Creole, which was by far some of the best shrimps and grits I had. My wife had the seafood Scampi they enjoyed. Overall it was a great experience. If there is one thing, I would suggest changing the chairs at the high tables in the bar area. They are very soft and you sort suck into the pillow, but the chair frame was narrow and made the chair a little unpleasant.

Food was delicious and fresh! Our server was very attentive and had a great sense of humor. The restaurant was clean even with them being busy. 10/10 will be back for sure
