Bidra med feedbackThe first meal was delicious! Perfectly cooked scallops over a delicious blueberry jasmin rice! Yum! Will definitely go back!
With my engagement here tonight, food and service were amazing. I had the duck breast. Cooked for perfection. Dessert was delicious. Matt our server was excellent, he did a good job to take care of us and make sure our visit was special.
Very nice atmosphere with excellent food. I had wrapped the Sesam Encrusted Lach and Speck Scallops appetizer.
So, I really try to be as honest as possible when I review. I have never been and I have heard great things. Now after I visited recently with my beautiful girlfriend for our anniversary I can say we have experienced it. This place has been rated high and received many awards in the past. I’m afraid the prestige has withered away at this point. It was a later reservation in the evening but I definitely left feeling underwhelmed. Staff was friendly which is a plus. It was a limited menu which is understandable in this current climate. My issue is with overall food execution. We ordered the egg roll appetizer which was ok, nothing too exciting. Then we had special martinis from their menu which were hit and miss of the 4 we had. The entrees we had were orange chicken and Mongolian beef. In all honesty we both agreed the quality of the meat was fantastic yet the flavors were nothing more than what I would expect from a plaza Chinese food joint. Beef was soy sauce heavy being overwhelmingly salty. Orange chicken sauce actually worked well to cut down the salt and add the needed sweet/citrus flavors. The dessert was delicious and complementary for our anniversary which was a nice surprise.
Expensive and the food can't live up to it's fancy style and presentation. The chicken curry didn't taste freshly made, rather like warmed up from 2 days ago. Not what I expect from a $20 price tag. I advise to go to a real Chinese, you end up saving money and probably also get better food.
