Ruby River Steakhouse Ogden

Steak was excellent. Our server was Fabulous! There were about 6 gnats flying around in our booth. I killed most of them. The mash were too runny.

I made a reservation for my husband and mother-in-law to celebrate her birthday on 02/12/2018 at Ruby River in Ogden, Utah. The servers were extremely friendly and accommodating. I asked if I could bring a dozen roses and a balloon bouquet to be placed on the table before they arrived for dinner, and the staff happily obliged. When my husband and mother-in-law arrived, they were greeted warmly and wished a happy birthday. The servers even offered to take pictures for them. Both my husband and mother-in-law were pleased with the service, food, and atmosphere of the restaurant. Thank you for making my mother-in-law's birthday so special.

Food was so so. Service was very poor. Waitress was nice, but long times between checking on on. Then a very long time for main course. Then they ran out of bakked potatoes and did not say anything until we were done eating and even then we had to flag down a manager. Very disappointed.

Service was mediocre at best. Out of four steak dinners two were okay but two were terrible. Steaks were not cooked properly and the cuts were not good. The positive things were the baked potatoes and salad. Probably will not return.

My wife and I ordered our steaks well-done, but they were cooked more on the rare side of medium rare. I only ate a small portion of my ribeye steak. Despite our server taking our order correctly, the steaks were not cooked as requested. The restaurant may need new chefs who cook according to customer preferences. We had a good experience at the restaurant before, but now we are unsure if we would return.
