Villa Italia - Oil City

We are new to the area and I was craving spaghetti… I saw they had a 4.2 star rating so I was excited! However we got our food home, and it was AWFUL ? the spaghetti was so undercooked and plain and the meatball was so mushy. The chicken parmigiana was so underseasoned and the chicken tasted store bought and old. Everything was watery and the bread was rubbery and hard To chew. Sad bc we spent 63$ but now we know and won’t be going back.

Delicious food! We ordered the corn nuggets and they were so good! Shrimp dinner with fries and garlic bread were filling. Turkey club had my boyfriend in a trance. Out of town visiting but plan on coming back next time we are in town!

I’ll start off with the good by saying the staff were friendly and attentive. With 4.2 stars and 800+ reviews I assumed the food would be pretty good! There must have been a change of ownership or cooks or something however as the food was just plain not good. Bland, sawdust-like bread, a meatball that was almost play-doh like, and an overall lack of seasoning. My friend got pesto pasta that was overly oily as well. Appetizers were good (zucchini sticks and fried mushrooms). It was also very hot in the restaurant and our table had seen better days in terms of cleanliness. Very disappointed and hoping I caught them at a bad time and in general things are better. A sign up front did say they were hiring cooks.

The worst place I've ever eaten. The calamari is bad and is definitely straight from the freezer. The red sauce is extremely bitter. I ordered fettuccine with garlic sauce and there was so much oil sopping from my fettuccine that it actually made it taste bitter and was not tolerable. I am not sure how this place stays in business. With the 4.3 rating it had, I thought it would actually be decent, but I was very wrong.

Food took a few minutes longer than expected but it was worth the wait. I had the chicken tender meal. Affordable also.
