Bidra med feedbackI have dined at Family Affair restaurant a couple of times. I have been pleased with the food, especially the fried chicken. My wife and I decided to order fried chicken for Sunday dinner. We have two issues with the Family Affair restaurant and our dinning experience. We ordered eight thighs and only received two thighs. At $1.49 per thigh, that’s a $8.94 over charge. Also, we did not have the correct amount of chicken, which caused a change in plans. I called about the issue and asked to speak to a manager on two occasions. Both calls had the same outcome; “the manager is not here and I don’t know when they will be back.” One of the workers, Diamond, offered that I could come in and she would give me the six thighs that we were shorted. I do not live close to the restaurant, so this was not a viable option. A gift certificate or credit of $20 or a refund of at least $8.94 plus tax, which would be $9.69 would be satisfactory. The second issue is proper packaging. The person that put the chicken in the containers used Styrofoam containers, which were not able to shut due to being over filled. Then he wrapped the full Styrofoam containers with cling wrap. The chicken was hot, so it melted the Styrofoam onto the chicken and the condensation made the chicken batter soggy. So the chicken experience was not as good as previous visits. For this issue, I think a full refund of the charge is in order, about $35. I can not recommend the Family Affair restaurant for any to go orders, but still recommend the restaurant for dine in.
