What better way to start the day than with a scrumptious brekky, served well with a warm smile and happiness. Had the pleasure of the buffet breakfast whilst staying at the lovely African Pride Mount Grace hotel, of which Twist is the main restaurant for. Start your day off with a bright welcome the room has lovely sweeping views over the mountains and Magaliesburg. The sun literally shines on your breakfast, and with a wide range of choice buffet style you can’t help but feel your day is started in the best manner possible. Whether your preference is for the ‘full English’, Continental or just a mixture, there’s bound to be something here for you as the choice is pretty comprehensive. For example, the cheese station had a handful of different cheeses (all nice and hearty portions aplenty are the order of the day. A word for the decor too very fresh, very swish and stylish but what’s that balcony for? It looks like an opera singer is about to serenade the breakfast room… What’s an ‘Opportunity for Improvement’? It looks like timing may be of the essence for breakfast. As the hotel is popular for conferences as well as travellers, I’d guess it could get pretty busy (either that, or they just put lots of food out! . Maybe we were lucky as it was relatively quiet when we attended, but the service was very attentive and most of all, warm and smily. Tell me More You know you’re going to enjoy your food when so much care and attention is given to ambiance, theme and style. Maps and local guides on the tables, recommended dog walking routes along with country paintings and animal heads add to the rustic feel without being overbearing. How many Stars? 4 Service in particular was very friendly, smily and welcoming, but the comprehensive range of food offerings really makes this breakfast special. Anything to disclose? No paying customer, anonymously visited. How I Rate: I normally rate 1 4, with 5 reserved for ’Exceptional’, i.e. “deviating from the norm” or “truly worthy of note”. 4 stars very good 3 stars good 2 stars average or acceptable 1 stars poor

Fri night is great buffet for sure. So much variety of food provided and taste really good.

Great Restaurant. The environment is great and the service is prompt. The only thing I did not enjoy is the minced meat and chicken livers. But everything was on point. And on top of it is their hotel made yogurt, it is out of this nowrld. I even took two.

Loved the buffet which was a bit on the pricy side but I definitely ate two people's fill.

Good food, loved the cozy fireplace while we had breakfast on misty rainy morning.
