Bidra med feedbackMy boyfriend and I were going to eat here and he had his service animal with him. He asked for a to-go box to put water in for his dog before we ordered our food so his dog can have water. The owner refused to give us anything for water saying she didn't want to waste her to-go boxes. We are business owners as well and cannot understand how you wouldn't want to accommodate your customers with a small request who are spending money at your establishment. Hmmm I wonder if it's because he's black and she's white. she was looking at him like he shouldn't be there. this has never happened to us before, everywhere we go this has never been an issue everyone has always been more than welcoming at other restaurants whenever we ask for a water bowl. We will be filing a complaint with BBB. Thank you.
The food was OK would not recommend going again. It's good for a one time thing the lunch specials are the best to get there. The service was good and the ambience outside is really nice.
Not good : I am generally weary of sit-down Mexican restaurants that normally cater more to the American Caucasian palette than authentic Latin flavors. I ended up here for a work lunch and the food confirmed my decision to stay away from these kind of places. The salsa tasted like tomato sauce. Seriously, like something you'd put on a pizza. My chicken tortilla soup was pretty flavorless as well. I can't give a completely well rounded review but if these basics are sub par, I would imagine the rest of the food is too. Also, way too expensive for the quality.
This was my first time here at Moreno's. My friends arrived before I did so I didn't have to wait to be seated. I came at lunch time and it's pretty good sized outside patio. The parking is okay, I'm glad to have found one soon as I pulled into the parking lot, because it gets filled up quick. The servers were attentive but did take a just a little bit to come back around to our table because we did get there about lunch time and so it was busy, but nonetheless, the servers we had were friendly and knew their menu well.I had ordered the dry burrito with cilantro, onions, beans, rice inside of it along with the my choice of meat: carne asada. That burrito was massive, the size of my forearm. Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo of it because I was really hungry (my bad). But no worries, I'll be back and try their tostada bowl. My friends had ordered beef and chicken taquitos, but had said their tostada bowl was yummy and massive. So I will be back again.
We were pleasantly surprised by Moreno's. Our plan was to just get tamales from the bakery but it was such a beautiful afternoon we decided to dine outside by the fountain. This place has so much authentic mission style architecture, it's really nice for the kids to walk around and look at everything. That is a big plus for us since the kids can get restless at the table. As for the food, they have very generous portions! The tamale and taco combo with rice and beans was good. The masa was moist and sauces were adequate. The fish taco was average, not a ton of meat and toppings were basic. The carne asada taco was kinda dry but drenched in their house salsa helped. Finally, the service was impeccable! They were very friendly and attentive. We will come back for the ambiance and ability to easily handle very large groups.
