Fat Cupcake - Oregon City

I ordered special cupcakes for my son's birthday five days in advance. I picked them up on the day of the party, but none of the kids finished them. The next day, I tried them and found them to be dry and tasteless. I called the Oregon City location, and the employee said she would pass along my message to the manager. However, after two days without a response, I took the leftover cupcakes back to the store and asked to speak with the manager. I just got off the phone with Aliya, the manager, who was quite insulting and claimed that my taste buds were off and that the cupcakes were actually wonderful. Our initial intention was to suggest quality control checks before releasing products, but everyone we spoke to became defensive and reacted negatively to our feedback. They have now lost us as customers, and we will not have anything positive to say about our experience.

First impressions: passionate and delightful. The cupcakes are more delicious than they look (and they are already nice to look at). I highly recommend. My experience as t the shop was wonderful. The lady who helped us was extremely genuine, and could tellshe was passionate about the cupcakes. I was visiting family in Oregon when I discovered this place. I bought cupcakes for thefamily to share after dinner. This place was a definite winner. Everyone loved it. I'm sad there isn't a place like this nearhome.

We ordered six mini cupcakes, and while the cake in each one was quite moist, the flavors didn't impress us. The buttercream on the white velvet cupcake seemed to have little to no butter, likely relying on vegetable shortening, which really missed the mark in terms of taste. The peanut butter and German chocolate flavors were acceptable, but the cookie dough buttercream also fell short in flavor. On a positive note, the person at the counter was lovely, and the store itself had a nice bright atmosphere.

I ordered a cake online, and it was quite misleading. The photo showed a beautiful 4-layer cake for the $46 price, which seemed a bit pricey but reasonable. However, when I picked it up, I was shocked to find a tiny cake—more like a $7 grocery store version. I was extremely disappointed. It tasted like it had been previously frozen and was not good at all. I will definitely not be ordering from here again! It was a complete birthday disaster!

These are the worst and driest cupcakes I have ever tasted. The entire cupcake crumbled apart due to the lack of moisture. Perhaps they were frozen before? The frosting is excessively sweet as well. I can’t understand how they remain in business. I'm really disappointed.
