Bayside Restaurant - Orillia

While visiting Orillia, Ontario, yesterday my friends and my wife Nancy and I decided to stop for lunch at the Bayside Restaurant.Had we not been attending a home-and-garden show at the Curling Club at Tudhope Park, we would never have had the delight of having lunch at the Bayside. The Bayside is in the same building as the curling club located within sight of Lake Couchiching, close to the junction of Highway 12 and Atherley Road.The ladies in our group opted for salads with chicken from the extensive menu choices offered by the Bayside. The server was perky and happy to answer questions.My friend ordered a rueben sandwich with fries and I ordered a corned beef on rye with a few fries. I did not want the full order of fries because I knew it would be a lot, juding by what other patrons were being served.Our lunches were tasty and came exactly as ordered. For four of us, our total bill was $45.00, prior to tipping.The ice was still on Lake Couchiching not far from the Bayside Restaurant and Curling Club's main door which fronts on Tudhope Park.So I can only imagine how beautiful it will be to return to this waterfront location and enjoy both the Bayside Restaurant and the park this summer.

Consistent and good all day breakfast with constant coffee refills. Great view of the bay.The restaurant is attached to the curling club and is quite spacious...no need to hurry up and eat and leave.Lunch and dinner menus are varied, and they are also licensed. Service is good generally except for busy Sundays.

Staff friendly and always get my order correct. Amazing omelettes. Can be loud when busy as it's one large room. However on the upside there are many tables and have never had to wait for seating.

Good breakfast. On Sunday morning the place is packed with older folk and families with children. Service is a bit slow but if you sit at the window, there is a fantastic view of Lake Simcoe.

I've been to Bayside quite a few times. The food is always hot and fast and the place is always busy. I've only ever had breakfast and lunch there so not sure if they serve dinner or not.
