Chenko’s Gastronomia - Orosi

This charming restaurant has a wonderful owner and offers a variety of vegan options. Some dishes can be made vegan upon request. We tried the Ramen and it was absolutely delightful. Just note that the kitchen closes at 20:15.

This restaurant is a fantastic choice for anyone staying in Orosi. The family who runs it is incredibly friendly. They offer a variety of options such as falafel, customizable bowls, edamame, and miso soup.

As the previous review mentioned, this restaurant is one of the few in the area that offers clearly labeled and thoughtfully prepared vegan options. We enjoyed building our own pita wraps, although some of the ingredients could have used a bit more seasoning. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming.

Quite possibly the only restaurant in Orosí that for sure has vegan options. And they are actually good and fulfilling. And there are multiple of them! I wish I had had time to try more. Love that they have sushi with fried plantains in it for a fun Costa Rican twist. One of few places I’ve been to in Costa Rica that has anything with tofu. Note that the menu only specifically labels vegetarian options so you will have to ask which are vegan.

My family, including one child, had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. Everything we ordered was delicious and the owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We felt completely at ease and the food and hospitality will always be remembered. Chenko is truly outstanding!
