Ortega's Taqueria Y Mariscos - Orosi

I ordered a cabeza torta and it was really delicious. I also tried a pupusa, which tasted good, but it wasn't quite authentic. The restaurant was very clean, although the rice was a bit bland. Overall, everything else was decent.

Supporting local businesses is something I strive for, so when we were looking for a lunch spot in our hometown, we decided to check out the new restaurant in town. Unfortunately, that was a mistake. While the place has a nice atmosphere and is very clean, the food was absolutely terrible. Every item on my plate was devoid of flavor and even lacked salt. It was as bland and tasteless as it could be. I ordered the cheese pupusa combo with rice and beans, and I can honestly say it was not a pupusa at all. The cheese had completely leaked out, the masa was undercooked, and the curtido didn’t resemble proper curtido. The restaurant has potential, but only if they find a new cook — because they certainly do not have a chef!

Fantastic service, but the food was a disappointment! I ordered two pupusas, and they neither looked nor tasted like traditional pupusas. The masa was undercooked and too thick!

I have always enjoyed ordering from the Reedley restaurant, and now being able to get Ortega's for lunch in Orosi is fantastic! I absolutely love the pastor tacos!
