Dog Days Grill - Osage Beach

We weren't planning on trying Dog Days until some locals recommended it to us the night before. The atmosphere was lively and we enjoyed a beautiful view of the lake. Both my wife and I ordered burgers, and they were fantastic! We also enjoyed some delicious drinks while waiting for our food. We will definitely come back and spend more time there the next time we're in the Ozarks.

One of our favorite lakeside spots! Dog Days has revamped their bar by adding a pool area, creating a fantastic and relaxing atmosphere. There's a swim-up bar and tables right in the water, along with a separate pool for the kids. Plenty of loungers and comfortable seating options are available for lounging and people-watching, but be sure to arrive early to snag a cushioned sofa. It seems like every time we return, they've made more enhancements and additions. The view of the lake is beautiful, and it’s always a good time. The food is excellent—I'm a big fan of their mahi-mahi!

Fantastic food and a welcoming staff! The swim-up bar adds a fun twist. This time, I got to see a dog jumping, which was a total blast! The gift shop is among the best I've seen. I love places where you can feed the ducks and fish!

On a local's recommendation we visited. We arrived late afternoon and were lucky to grab a nice shaded spot. The kids really enjoyed the kiddie pool and we were able to relax a little while keeping an eye on them. The drinks were way overpriced in my opinion. Paid $12 for a drink and that was without thr rum floater they try to upsale for and addition $2.50. We had a plate of nachos and they were phenomenal. The problem was I guess servers sometimes make their rounds to get drinks for people at tables like we were at but no one ever did. So we had to go to the bar to order drinks and food and wait there. There is a restaurant you can go in to eat but we didn't venture in because the kids were having too much fun in the pool.

Seating was limited as this is a popular place. Our wait wasn't that long. The beer is cold and they have an extensive drink menu to choose from. She tried a few local favorites and I stuck with beer. The Naco plate was huge and enough for two. Would definitely come back during our next vacation. Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.
