Gyoza No Ohsho Shinsaibashi - Osaka

While the service was fast and efficient they were out of most of the dishes when we visited. They also seemed to be out of plates and served a rice dish on what looked like a microwave tray. It was not the best tasting oshou experience we've had either. Will avoid in future.

This is my first ever review of a restaurant, and I am doing this out of rage. The staff were the rudest, meanest, extremely impolite, and the most impolite out of all the Japanese restaurants I have been to during my vacation in Japan. Two waitresses alternated between our table. Both were cold, harsh, and didn’t say any words or greetings. There was a button on the side of the table to call for the staff service, and I tapped on it three times, and no staff came. I had to call her over to take our order. No water was given to us, and we had to ask for drinks ourselves. When our food arrived, it was okay and all, but there was this disgusting soup that was extremely sweet. The staff literally tossed our dishes onto the table, and didn’t say a word. They even gave the wrong dish to everyone at my table. Never coming back to this restaurant ever again.

With its famous brand and good location, the food is shockingly cheap (USD 2.2 for 6 dumplings) taste good for me, but perhaps salty for some other people.

This is Japanese style Chinese restaurant. The price is very reasonable and very delicious food. Your service is really fast and efficient. I would recommend to anyone who wants to taste a reasonable Japanese food.

Food: 4/5 for the Gyoza everything else is a 3/5 Service: 4/5 OK service unless busy Value: 4/5 for the Gyoza, everything else is a 3/5 Atmosphere: 3/5 Counter and table seating downstairs, table seating upstairs, dated but everything is functional, just expect tourists with their suitcases parked around the tables. Have dined at this location of Ohsho several times over the years, keep expecting that the other dishes besides the gyoza would improve, sadly that has not the case. Everything either comes out greasy (like the karaage), or hard like a rock (sweet and sour pork), or bland (fried rice) or the meat just doesn't taste good (scallion/green onion beef). Recommend just ordering some gyoza and a bowl of rice and maybe some pan fried vegetables since it is very hard to mess that up. Other Ohsho locations at less touristy areas of Osaka are a lot better in regards to the quality of the food.
