Bidra med feedbackThe Ikea in Osaka now offers a variety of vegan-friendly options, such as plant-based soft serve ice cream on the first floor bistro. In addition, they have entrees and snacks like curry and fried soy meat karaage at the restaurant. They also sell plant-based instant cup noodles and frozen "plant balls" on the first floor.
The Swedish food market on the 1st floor offers frozen vegan balls (Huvudroll) for sale. These can also be found at the restaurant, however, please note that the entire meal is not vegan as the mashed potatoes and sauce contain milk. At the Bistro on the 1st floor, you can also find plant-based soft ice cream and veggie hot dogs. Look for the green label that says "プラントベース" (plant-based). I had heard that Ikea offers a lot of vegan options, so I went there with high hopes. However, I was very disappointed. There were no meatballs available, either in the frozen section or in the restaurant. The cafeteria had no vegan options at all, and the labeling was unclear. The only vegetarian option available was veggie fritters, but they were not vegan. The rest of the options were meat-based. At the bistro, they only had hot dogs and banana ice cream, but the ice cream was sold out that day. In conclusion, I would recommend going to Ikea if you need furniture, but not for the food. It was a waste of time.
The most 2 recent visits to this ikea cafeteria (near the exit) I’ve stumbled upon multiple items plant based that are not only available convenient.. but damn cheap and delicious!! ¥100 for a small vege hot dog you can top to your hearts content with sauerkraut and pickles, ¥80 plant based banana ice cream, plant based berry parfaits ¥180. Amazing. I hope to see them more regularly available. Sometimes there are limited options
I have read that there are many vegan options at ikea, so I went there with high expectations. (not for shopping, just for eating) it was very disappointing. there were no meatballs, not in the frozen section and not in the restaurant. the cafeteria has no vegan options at all and the kenn drawing is not clear. there were veggie fritters, but they are not vegan, the rest was only flesh. in the bistro they have hot dogs and bananeneis cream. but the cream was sold this day. my conclusion: go there if you need something from ikea, not for eating! it is a tail of time.
