Bidra med feedbackI really should have taken a photo of our beautiful meals! The food was excellent, the staff was amazing, and the restaurant’s cleanliness was impeccable! Since the pandemic, we've only dined out a few times, but here we felt completely comfortable and safe. It was a wonderful evening, and I can't recommend this place highly enough!
The service was satisfactory, but the food was lackluster. The bruschetta had an unusual sweetness and was topped with an odd lump of something white—could it have been butter or cream cheese? The Alfredo pasta was decent, but it felt like they might have used jarred sauce and simply added some cheese to it, as that’s how it tasted. On the positive side, the portions are quite generous, though the prices are on the higher side for what you get, which I would describe as just average.
We ordered an appetizer called onion haystack ($5.99), which was quite tasty. It featured smaller onion slices and a lighter breading, making it less greasy than similar dishes I've had elsewhere. For my side, I opted for the French onion soup, but unfortunately, it was a letdown. It lacked excitement and depth, being too broth-heavy and watery. The cheese was rubbery and didn’t offer much in terms of flavor; I felt it needed more onions to enhance it. My wife and I agreed that it was quite bland and didn't meet our expectations. After discussing our main course options, I chose the salmon BLT ($15.49). I can't say I’ve ever had a salmon BLT before, but it too fell short. The salmon was somewhat tasteless and appeared slightly overcooked. I believe there’s so much potential for creativity with salmon that wasn’t realized. My wife's chicken parmesan was mistakenly served with regular pasta instead of zucchini noodles, which led to a tight timeline to correct the order. Overall, I don’t think I’d return to this restaurant. While I appreciated the ambiance, our server Jess, and the restaurant's aesthetics, I found the use of paper over linen and the noise of folding paper during table turnover to be off-putting. Most importantly, I desire more flavor, excitement, and a sense of wow factor in my meals.
Benvenuto's Italian Grill was a very clean restaurant. I was seated right away. It took awhile for someone to come to my table. My waitress Aliana finally came. She took my order. I ordered the pasta trio, which came with fettuccini alfredo, meat lasagna, and chicken parmigiana. First they brought out my salad. It was terrible and old. The bread with olive oil seasoning was tasty. I truly enjoyed the lasagna. It was the best part. I added some expensive ass shrimp to my alfredo which wasn't worth it. The alfredo tasted okay but the sauce was watery. I didn't like the chicken parmigiana at all. It was very dry and cooked too hard. The experience was okay but I probably won't return.
Atmosphere: Great amount of parking available here. I love the vastness of the place, you don't feel on top of other guests when dining, the booths are quite large. The bathrooms are always spotless. Service: There have been a few visits with no one to greet us at the door, but the service from there out is fantastic. The servers know the menu inside and out. Food: Their complimentary olive oil bread is SO good, we always get a loaf to go. Their salads always have fresh ingredients and I love their dressing. I haven't had anything other than salads here, but my boyfriend loves their meatballs and my mom raves about the pasta. Overall this is a great spot for lunch or dinner for a date, or with a large group of people. I wish there was one in Appleton!
