Little Red Shack BBQ - Ottawa

We love this place! Excellent ribs, much better than any I've tried at several different rib fests in Ottawa over the years. They are often fall off the bone, always smokey delicious, and have a terrific sauce you can order on the ribs or on the side. Our other favourite is the poppers cheese stuffed, bacon wrapped, smoked jalapeno peppers; what is not to love! The owners are super friendly too and as well as their regular menu (ribs, pulled pork, brisket, etc. , often cook up other options such as scotch eggs (very delicious . The food is reasonably priced for both quality and quantity. This place is well worth the drive.

My boyfriend and I accidentally found this restaurant after missing the entrance to the flea market today, and what a fantastic discovery it was! First and foremost, the service was top-notch. If I could, I would give it 10 stars! The man and woman working there were incredibly friendly and even brought us some samples to try throughout our meal. I have to give a special shoutout to the Kool-Aid pickles, they were absolutely delicious. I will definitely be buying a jar of them when we return! Everything we tried was mouthwatering, from the brisket and pulled pork sandwiches - which the man kindly suggested we share by cutting them in half - to the jalapeno poppers with bacon and chicken wings as sides. We also got to try some day-old ribs for free, which were also fantastic. The food had a delicious smoky flavor that ran through every bite, a clear sign that it had been cooked properly. The attention to detail in the service was impressive, and we will definitely be coming back for more!

Excellent authentic bbq, had 1/2 rack, and pulled pork dinner (Mac and cheese and beans) this is bbq done right with a good smoke ring and good prices. Owners are proud of what they serve and it shows, will be back for sure.

Spot On!. My wife found this place and took me for fathers day. This place is the real deal!! You can tell the owners have done their research... authentic southern BBQ at a great price. We frequently make the trek from Barrhaven, and have never been dissapointed.

I absolutely love this place. Fortunately, I live nearby so I visit every weekend and it always feels like a little slice of paradise. When I first started going, they mainly served pulled pork with delicious sides. However, they have since expanded their menu to include bacon-wrapped sausages and BBQ wings. I have tried everything on the menu and it's all delicious. The pulled pork is incredibly flavorful, while the wings and bacon-wrapped sausages are perfectly cooked and so tasty. These items have become my go-to indulgence along with the "piggy plate," which includes a pulled pork sandwich and two sides. The service is quick and friendly, and I have never had any complaints. This restaurant is definitely one of my favorites in Ottawa and will remain so for a long time.
