Meadows Diner - Ottawa

Best club sandwich in ottawa. I had given up ordering club sandwiches everywhere. The ones I recall from the 70's in Ottawa just were not to be found. Suddenly here it was! The club sandwich I recall from way back. I asked Walid, and he was aware how good his club was, from all the other folk who reflect that back to him. He said the secret was boiling the chicken for 90 mins. Also, he gives a huge amount of chicken in the club. It's about 8 bucks, but do not sell yourself short and order a b.l.t. to save 2.50. Yu seriously need to try the club. Walid told me there is a facebook page out there devoted to his club sandwich.

This place is a forgotten gem. The last of the real 'Greasy Spoon Diners '. I have been there for breakfast several times. Bacon, eggs and homefrys are the way to go. They also boast the best porage in town. This place is a must.

Fantastic!. Not much to look at from the outside but fantastic food, great service and decent price! Great for breakfast and lunch! Try the Eggs Benny...

Wednesday for Cheesesteaks!. Wednesdays have now become a Meadows must for lunch. Walid pulls out all the stops with his Phillie cheese steak special. Soup, a huge Steak sandwich, great fries and a drink for $8. And it is terrific. The staff as always is friendly, speedy and very welcoming.<br/ <br/ What Meadows may lack in decor they make up for in great food service and a friendly ambience that other places can't match!

Our favorite breakfast for more than a decade!! Always friendly staff and owner, attentive and excellent food....Best home-fries in the city!! Very recommended!
