Nando's Peri-peri - Ottawa

Ordered in and just got the quarter chicken meal. The chicken itself was fine, the flavors were okay. The sides I found not particular great and not particularly hot by the time it arrived.Overall, the meal was fine, and comparable to what you'd get at swiss chalet for a similar price, but with slightly better flavor.

Where to start… You’re directed to a table to look over a menu before ordering. When you go to order, though, you’re in line with people getting takeout who have to take their time and evaluate the menu at the cash register. After waiting fifteen minutes to order (remember that this is after deciding what to eat, unlike everyone else in line), we ordered in maybe thirty seconds, and our food arrived promptly half an hour later. Waiting forty five minutes to get cold food that didn’t come with fries (as advertised) was bad, but then it got worse.I went to go order some french fries, and (I’m not making this up) that took another ten minutes, and then it took another forty minutes to get the french fries.Bad salad, cold chicken, poor service, bad atmosphere. I’d give it less than one star if I could.Probably the worst dining experience of my entire life.

I ordered 2 sandwiches today and paid extra for cheese and never got the cheese. I also ordered fries for one of the sandwiches and we didn't get fries either. I also ordered a cheesecake which I didn't receive. The salad bowl I ordered was half empty with some dry pieces of lettuce and there were no dressing either. The only order that was good was the pulled chicken bowl. I drove 15 minutes to go there and I was not going back. Never going to order there again!

Paid $5.00 and some change for this rice, my partner and I were very surprised by how small the portion was. On the left is about four tablespoons of mac and cheese. The “HOT” chicken was more of a medium in my opinion. Not worth the price in my eyes.

I usually do not leave bad reviews but this experience deserves it. It was crowded when I walked in. We were asked to prepay for the meal including tip and since there was no seating indoors we sat outside. After an hour passes with no service , I went in to check as to what happened to our food. I was informed that the food was almost done . After half an hour more, we decided to move indoors assuming that maybe because we were outside , they had forgotten about us. We informed 3 different staff that we were moving inside. After another 15 min wait, my kids were so hungry I had a 2 and 3 year old that I requested they refund us the money and let us leave. At which point they mentioned to us that they were out of the corn which we had ordered as the side for all our dishes . And we were blamed for not letting them know we switched tables. We were asked to chose a replacement so we chose the garlic bread which we were told would be out in a few mins we waited another half hour before we were served a huge platter of burnt inedible garlic bread and the rice which I had begged for saying at-least give us that so my kids could eat .Eventually we got our main course after multiple requests. We didn’t get all the sides we paid for ,but we were too exhausted to wait/ argue so we just left. The only redeeming thing was among all the angry guests, the wait staff was sweet which is pointless when you spend 3 hours waiting for a substandard incomplete order
