Paesani's Caffe - Ottawa

Paesani's is located in the heart of Ottawa's Little Italy. This was our first visit, and upon entering this small restaurant (just a handful of tables), we weren't sure we were going to like it, as the decor is very casual and the place has more of a bar than a restaurant feel to it. However, our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. We really enjoyed the food: our entrees were the veal parm, chicken parm and pasta with seafood. All were excellent and reasonably priced. Although he was not working the night we were there, the chef is Domenic Bevilacqua- a well-known chef who has worked at several Italian restaurants over the years. Paesani's is a good choice on Preston Street if you are interested in good food and don't mind the absence of a "fine-dining atmosphere".

I visited this restaurant on Canada Day and they featured a highly skilled country singer who performed on guitar with some local backup musicians.

I went to the restaurant for wing night and was impressed by the delicious wings and flowing drinks. I also took advantage of happy hour and enjoyed some cheaper beer.

This is definitely one of my favorite spots in Ottawa. During our five years in the city, my partner and I frequented this restaurant at least once a month, if not more.
