Suya Palace Nigerian/african Charcoal Grill Bbq

The food and service at this restaurant were excellent. I ordered the Assorted combo with chicken and beef suya, Jollof rice, and a drink, and everything was perfect. Despite the long wait, it was worth it. I would give the food a rating of 5 out of 5.

Their Jollof Rice and Goat Meat are excellent. My husband also enjoyed their pounded yam and Egusi when we visited Ottawa; it was top-notch. I highly recommend their food. Rating: 5 out of 5.

This is definitely the worst Nigerian restaurant I have visited in Ottawa. I did not receive any notification when my order was ready, and when I went to check at the counter almost 30 minutes later, the food was just sitting there with the attendant on his phone. On top of that, the beef suya was bland, the egusi soup was overly salty, and the goat meat pepper was spoiled. The soup had a foamy texture and a foul smell when I opened the bowl. Save yourself the time and money - avoid this restaurant.

My first joint to have the Nigerian Nkwobi, it was spicy and good. They should work on their front desk and service, requested some info about the drinks and the person had no clue …. he however mentioned he was just helping out. Over all, my experience was okay.

The food was tasty and we were able to satisfy the cravings for Nigerian food we had been having for a while.The Egusi and pounded yam were amazing, and the music tracks playing whilst we were eating them made the experience even more enjoyable.What could be improved was the selection of drinks, there weren 't many to choose from, and others were in the menu, but out of stock.We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the exquisite artifacts in some corners of the restaurant, that reminded us of the richness of the culture of the old African continent.Regarding entertainment, it wasn 't really necessary, but it would have been nice to have something playing in the tv sets whilst having dinner (instead of the Roku wallpapers), preferably Nigerian content. This wasn 't a must, but it would have created a more immersive experience, if we may say so.At last, the place could benefit from a deep cleaning service (white chairs, curtains, and baseboard in the restaurant, and restrooms in the basement).
