This was a disaster. The owners should be ashamed. There was little heat with leaky windows. The shower dribbled hot water. There was no way to get help during the night. At $150 we expected much more. Avoid this place! The only redeeming part was the young lady who worked the front desk.

I'm giving this place a 4 out of 5 based on the enthusiasm of the wonderful human running the place and it's unique history.Floors were squishy in the bathrooms, and the shower was kind of scary. Stairway was uneven and a tripping hazard. Not safe for young children who may lean out the wide open (no screens) windows.Downstairs check in area and the saloon were the coolest parts of the place. Made a reservation well over a month in advance to stay here, drove 6 hours on labor day weekend only to be told she didnt have our reservation when we got there (there was not a single place with a vacancy in a 100 mile radius). needless to say our vacation was singlehandedly completely ruined because of someone elses complete incompetence. owner was unbelievably rude and offered absolutely zero help at all. there are better places to stay in ouray, id steer clear of this place.

They had no record of our reservation, which was made properly and well in advance. Booking is done on paper. In 2020. This was Labor Day weekend so finding any other accommodation was out of the question. The front desk lady was rude, smug, and offered no assistance of any kind. “You’re not in here and we have no room.” The end. Avoid at all costs, unless being stranded six hours from home with no place to stay sounds like a fun time.
