Die Stadtmitte - Overath

Staying for several days in Overath we had dinner two times at die Stadtmitte. A cosy restaurant at the station place. They do serve " flammkuchen" like a pizza but thinner and different but very tasty. We had the Parma and Tomato flammkuchen, both delicious. A warm welcome, a good service and tasty food, that is what we like. Second time there were 4 of us and a baby girl, good service again, they even had a box of toys for the girl. Good choice, not expensive.

Deception. The fact that you can get a drink as a guest can happen. But that you have the wine that goes over the entire clothing incl. Down jacket (a case for cleaning) has shed that it may also pay is impossible. Host quality complete failure The food was ok, average pub quality service: average meal: dinner

Our table for a Christmas party, which has been booked for several weeks, has now simply been cancelled as the restaurant suddenly needs the capacity for a larger, more lucrative Christmas party. You don't! At least not without being able to offer the customer a reasonable alternative. Thank you.

My impression of the restaurant on a Saturday evening: Absolutely average! There was a lot of things going on and therefore very loud and warm. The salad was rather unspectacular. Two pieces of tomato, two pieces of cucumber, a bit of iceberg salad, corn and finished grated tube. Also the dressig, complete average, I think a bit too little. I ordered roast potatoes with mirror eggs. Tastefully top, however, I would like it to be on the map that they are served with bacon apples, because this is not obvious from the map. The baguette and the aioli are nothing special. The young operators were very accommodating, friendly and fast.

Very good carving, nice service, good location. Absolutely recommended.
