Casero Kitchen Table - Owen Sound

This place is amazing. Great decor, friendly staff and the food is spot on. Fresh food (I wish we had MORE places like this to eat in Owen Sound.) The "sneaky wings" are a great appetizer and a great example of the chef's creativity and willingness to offer vegetarian dishes. The crispy cauliflower burrito is very tasty and very filling. The portions are a good size here and I never leave hungry. This place is also very accommodating (I have asked for substitutions etc. and they always meet my request.) The bar list is also great and has local cider etc. My only suggestion would be the addition of a kiddie menu.

Enjoyed a shrimp burrito. And Guacemole. Authentic Mexican food in a wonderful atmosphere. All the food is freshly made and arrived hot and fresh. Highly recommend it!

We were in Owen Sound to do some shopping and decided to have a late lunch in town.We could go to your typical chain restuarant, (again) or try the best little spot in Owen Sound, Casero Kitchen Table. It was a no brainer, off to Casero we went.It was 2 PM when we got there, it was still busy but we were seated right away and our server immediately brought us water.I ordered a draft beer, Beau's Lug tread. It was very good. My wife just stuck with water.We had the small nachos with chicken for an appetizer. We have never been disappointed with their nachos, they are consistently the best we have ever had. Home made nacho chips, every one on the platter had toppings on it. Chicken was well seasoned and tasty and there was plenty of it. Lots of cheese, lots of veggies. There were jalapenos on them, they were a little too spicy for me but my wife enjoyed them. We finished off all the chips and still had toppings left so we grabbed our forks and ate the rest. For our mains we both tried the specials. I had the enchiladas, conqueso y pollo (chicken) and my wife had the spicy shrimp and guacamole torta (sandwich.) The food came out and my enchilada was smoking hot (temperature.) The cheese sauce was very good, I enjoyed it. My wife's sandwich was also very tasty. The bun it came on was huge so she only ate 1/2 the bun, but definitely finished the shrimp.We had a great meal, full of flavour and great service as well.When we come to Owen Sound and want to eat, Casero will always be our first choice.

We stopped in on a rainy day late in the afternoon. Place was packed and amazing aromas enticed us to wait. It was well worth it. Enjoyed great natchos with pulled pork. Loved the rich smoky flavor. We also had the fish cake, great mix of fresh local fish and Mexican cooking. We also had a tostada, again pulled pork - delicious. We willdefinitely be back and will try the Sauble Beach take out.

Nice friendly servers, authentic mexican food and family. What more could you ask for ? The corn on the cob was the highlight and the jalapeno margarita was excellent. Price is reasonable too. We had 11 people so were charged 18 % gratuity which was expected. They were very accommodating of our two babies.
