Big Cove B B Q - Owens Cross Roads

A real BBQ joint. Big Cove is a real BBQ joint. The decor is not unusual and the exterior is not the focus of the restaurant. When I visited them, there were several groups of regular customers who came through. You could say how they were greeted and how they were ordered. The food was very good. Not the best bar-que I've ever eaten, but good enough to bring me back. The BBQ plate was for the price and quite delicious. The pages seemed to be made at home and were all very good.

Some of the best BBQ around! Eat here since I was a little kid and it never gets old. Love people and love food. Five stars!

I had only the BBQ sandwich: it was juicy tasteful, sauce had just enough vinegar. Yum! Service was friendly helpful. Ambiance was missing; I took mine to go.

My husband and I love the BBQ here. It has a good smokey flavor, without being smothered in sauce. The baked beans are very good too. They now take credit cards. Be aware that they often sell out of BBQ near closing time so order ahead. While the place is nothing to look it, and I always choose take out, it's a fun little southern shack, with great people working behind the counter.
