Bidra med feedbackTwo. Here with my family to eat ingenious place! Awesome eggs Benedict! Very nice staff. In any case, it'll be back!
Food is at same high standard as pre-pandemic. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff even though short-staffed like every place. Take time for relaxed meal at the new post-pandemic pace. Glad to be back 5-1 Diner in mid-town Oxford.
This was my first visit. We came for lunch. I had the hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and veggies. It was delicious. The turkey was real carved turkey, not lunch meat. The gravy brought it all home. True comfort food. I would go back anytime. Loved it. The inside is cozy too.
Whenever I'm in Oxford, I always choose this fantastic diner. I love the wide variety of options on the menu. The staff are incredibly friendly, and it's conveniently located on the main road. You get great value for your money, along with delicious food and warm hospitality. That's my recipe for a great experience!
Before leaving this review, I called the restaurant, and the owner was eager to make things right. I decided to give them another chance before posting my thoughts. While the staff was incredibly understanding and keen to ensure a better experience, it became clear that the steak sandwich just didn't work for me. I've had two attempts at enjoying this sandwich, and both ended in disappointment. I thought constructive criticism might help, so here are my suggestions: Firstly, I recommend cutting the steak against the grain before placing it in the sandwich. If you've ever tried to eat steak without utensils, you know it's like a tug-of-war with your teeth. Also, consider using a slightly toasted bun to create a better barrier against the tomato juices, preventing it from becoming a soggy mess. However, I must say the fries were delicious, and their omelets are fantastic! I would definitely give them 4 stars for breakfast and recommend trying it out!
