I've heard great things about succotash and had book marked this place for a while.
I've wanted to try this place since it's opening! I was incredibly disappointed! As for the positive our reservation, party of 3, was for 3:45 on Sunday Nov
I wasn't a fan of the food here. The menu options sounded amazing but they didn't deliver as they should. Our server was very nice and kind and the chef also came and talked to us but the flavors were off and very underwhelming for expectation of taste and overwhelming with disappointment. Presentation of dishes were nice and they had some interesting/good sauces to try. The ambiance is nice and you can take nice pictures here if you like.
I visited Succotash yesterday October 15, 2023. We asked to see the menu so we could have an idea of what they served. (This was before sitting down) We were under the impression that it was southern cuisine. I decided I didn’t want it after I read the menu. Then said let’s go back and give it a chance. The waitress comes over and explains that is a mix of southern and Asian cuisine. Never had this before so I was a bit skeptical. I ordered collard greens, Mac and cheese, and the butter milk biscuits. My companion ordered the short ribs with Mac and cheese. Well the greens over saturated with vinegar. I could barely enjoy them. The biscuits were hard I asked the waitress to get us some new ones. The cook/chef came out and explained the temp of the oven. Still don’t understand that concept. The next set of biscuits were lukewarm. My companion had so much fat on his ribs it was hard to eat. Long story short we tried it and it was a one and done. Not a place will return to, but to each their own.
