The Irish Whisper - Oxon Hill

Fantastic Irish pub! The food is excellent, especially the wings! I tried a whiskey flight for the first time, and it was an amazing experience. The bartenders were exceptionally friendly and attentive. They also have darts, which added to the fun. I will definitely be returning!

Overall, I was quite disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Any true Irish person would likely be offended by the food. I ordered the cottage pie, which arrived at my table in under 10 minutes—a clear warning sign. It contained only a small amount of ground beef, a few pieces of carrot, and there were no peas or gravy to be found. It was topped with a modest layer of mashed potatoes and some grated cheese that was only half melted. On a positive note, the Guinness was enjoyable, but at $8.50 a glass, I expected it to be served in a pint glass, yet it only came in a 12-ounce size.

So I got the Shephards pie. The meat tasted odd and it was swimming in oil like they just scooped it up from a pan. I am so freaking disappointed because I was excited for heavy food. But the taste was so poor. I wish I just walked the 3 miles to to other Irish pub. I should just drank my spit. I was dumb. I should have looked at the food in store. Plus the serving size was so SMALL. I actually think it may have been somewhat rancid because it coated my mouth with this

This is an incredible bar with an excellent team. Upon entering, you feel as though you've stepped into your own living room. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, making it a fantastic place to visit at any time, day or night.

Stopped in for dinner one evening and ordered the fish and chips and had a pint. The fish and chips was tasty but giant and enough for two people to split. The only drawback to that was that it was all breading and very little fish inside. I ended up taking off part of the breading just to dig out the fish. The fries were waffle fries and they were seasoned and they were good. The tartar sauce and coleslaw we?re both very good. I recommend stopping in if your hungry for some
