Mando's - Pacific Grove

Mando's has re-opened at 570 Lighthouse Ave in Monterey. The food is still amazing! Great vibe too! The staff and service are prompt, friendly, and just an overall fantastic experience.

Everything about this restaurant is amazing, the staff is super friendly and the food was delicious. I had the chorizo and it was just like how my grandma used to make it. I couldn't stop eating it. I loved the atmosphere and it wasn't a far walk from the aquarium. Definitely worth a stop by if you're hungry and looking for some good Mexican food.

CLOSED Arrived here and the place is closed. There's a sign that says they're moving but no location in given. I called and the recording doesn't mention a closure or location. As I was leaving, a mailman said that they're permanently closed.

This family owned establishment has been serving breakfasts all day for many years. We have been frequenting it as a group on Sundays quite often. They have nice patio seating for those who prefer to dine outdoors. Their menu features regular breakfast fare with a few unique items such as the house special -grandmas potatoes which is eggs served (your choice of preparation) over seasoned Russets with guacamole and cheese. Meat can be added for extra charge. The restaurant advertises authentic Mexican along with American fare. There is a wide menu to choose from with lunch and dinner served as well featuring sandwiches, tasty burgers, soups, salads and seafood. My only less than positive comment is the service can sometimes be a little hit and miss. Be patient should you have to remind the server for silverware or the check. Many menu items can be ordered a la carte, and they can accommodate most dietary restrictions. For casual cuisine at reasonable prices come try Mandos Restaurant.

Absolutely delicious. I had the chorizo tacos with rice and beans. I cannot wait to have them again and also to try something new. The tacos were so perfect. They had so much flavor!
