Bidra med feedbackTried this place for the first time this evening, got seven separate items for a big family dinner. I was VERY pleasantly surprised. The service was friendly and the family that owns the restaurant are lovely. So nice to know that your food has been made by someone who cares. Decor is maybe a little dated but not terrible. I'm here for the food, not the curtains. EVERY. SINGLE. DISH. WAS DELICIOUS. We all tried each other's food and not a single one was a disappointment. Portions were huge and even after everyone had seconds, we still have leftovers. We ordered the following: Bourbon chicken: balanced flavor, not too salty, garnished with a few broccoli Mongolian beef: smoky and flavorful, lots of meat Chicken mei fun: (my favorite) tender chicken, plenty of veggies, made with egg Moo shu pork: I didn't try this but it was a crowd favorite Fried dumplings: HUGE! Delicious! Veggie lo mein: good, standard issue noodles Won ton soup: huge dumplings again, flavorful broth Pork fried rice: I didn't try this either but was told it was good Sauces provided were a bit basic, but the quality of the food more than made up for it. I was so glad to finally find a good Chinese restaurant here in Palm Coast.
Had white rice, broccoli and large shrimps. Had eggshells. They were good. Large eggrolls. I've had a variety from their menu. All very good. Try the curry shrimp. Tasty, large shrimps.
The customer service was excellent, while the food was just average. They did offer some decent vegan options.
One standout feature is their choice of styrofoam containers instead of the usual Tupperware found in many Chinese restaurants. Although some might see this as a downside since we like our free containers, it actually means you get at least 25% more food! As for the food itself, the sesame chicken is less syrupy than what I’m used to, which I appreciate because it makes it easier to eat while still being flavorful. The fried rice, however, was a bit of a letdown. It tasted fine, but it only had onions and carrot shreds—no other vegetables, pork, broccoli, bean sprouts, or egg like you’d find elsewhere. It was still good, though. The egg roll was a highlight; it was delicious and generously stuffed, unlike others that tend to be mostly shell with very little filling. This restaurant is definitely a great find, and I plan to return. It's just unfortunate that there's currently no dine-in option, as the interior is beautiful and inviting.
Fantastic traditional Chinese cuisine! It takes me back to the meals I enjoyed while growing up in New York. If they make a mistake with your order, they go above and beyond to rectify it.
