Lunch Box - Palm Desert

This place deserves far more recognition than it gets. The sandwiches are absolutely delicious, and the salads are made fresh each day—nothing is prepared days in advance like at many other places. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

I had a disappointing experience with the sandwiches (and salads) at this restaurant. I've tried the sandwiches several times, including the Bag by Fallbrook and a few others, like the Cuban, which was quite inventive. The location is just a block or so from the main town, probably on Cook Street, a bit north of Waring. It's a small spot with affordable (cheap) prices and quick service, but unfortunately, the quality just didn't meet my expectations.

That's why I'm such a fan of Urban Spoon! Without the app, I would have never discovered this hidden gem. I had a fantastic lunch there.

Had the California Split and the beef sandwich. Also the daily soup cheesy scalloped potato. To die. It was a great lunch. Will be back

Excellent food and friendly staff. I ordered a turkey terrific with avacodo and cheese. It was delicious but a little pricey at over $9.00. I will certainly be back but probably not as often as I'd like.
