Our experience dining at this long-established restaurant in Manawatu was truly wonderful and one of the most memorable family outings we've ever had. The friendly and professional hosts made our visit exceptional, serving us some of the best meals we've enjoyed. The charismatic and dedicated owner, Danny Yeung, and his team truly embody what it means to take care of customers. From the moment we arrived, every minute was delightful, filled with shared stories, laughter, and a warm welcome—a testament to Danny’s leadership and the outstanding service of his staff. Compared to other restaurants we've visited in Palmerston North over the past four years, they are truly in a league of their own. We commend Danny for his unwavering commitment to the community and for the hard work he and his team have put into this establishment over the past 37 years. We left with happy hearts and satisfied appetites. Wishing them all the best!

The food in this restaurant was an experience both in hospitality and traditional family authenticity. From easy to cheerful welcome to entertaining attention, the service was notch. Not in a silver service, but in a way that reminded me of old world charm. I ordered duck and head and both came in good time and I was impressed by the taste and freshness of each dish. There was nothing lightning, but the sauces weren't ready and the servings were liberal. I made the food feel satisfied and not overwhelmed by any greasy shine. When I left, I got some rose chocolates that really was a surprise. There's something I like about attention to detail. I felt like an esteemed guest, although this was the one and only time I've died here. This is certainly worth a spin.

I'm 19 now, but I have fond memories of singing karaoke with my sister, mom, and dad when I was little. These days, I still run into Danny when I'm out enjoying drinks in town, and he remains as lively, energetic, entertaining, and charming as ever. The food and drinks are affordable, and the karaoke offers endless fun—especially on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights!

Good food. Amazing service! Meals were affordable. Tasting and crowd loved her. Super friendly owners who spoil all our children with candy and chocolate after their desserts. Very recommended

First time here in many years and the service and quality is still amazing! Food was hot, fresh and delicious! Even as a take away and walking back to my motel, the food was still piping hot by the time I got there. Staff were warm and welcoming, and even indulged in some small talk that made the experience and wait for food even more relaxing.
