Nice course. Good condition. Play here regularly but this place has some quarks. Don't expect great customer service here. Walk in, pay, and go to your cart that you are assigned. Don't you dare drive that cart backwards 20 feet to get your clubs even though you drive through it multiple times during your 18 anyway. Owner was pruning trees on the first hole and yelled at me from his boom truck to fix my ball mark before I even walked on the green. I'll get it dude, give me a chance to walk to it. Feels very uptight and not welcoming. It's unfortunate because the course is really nice and enjoyable to play. I just know what not to do now after being yelled at for things over the length of the season. Caution. When it rains, course is very wet.
The pro shop employee was extremely rude today. I went with my father and his friends on 5/11/22 and was greeted by the rudest person I?ve ever met. I physically can not golf due to a car accident that has left me partially paralyzed so I explained that to him that I would just be sitting in the cart next to my dad and he told me I don?t care and continued to charge me full price saying it?s for insurance reasons. In order to not cause a scene in front of his friends I said ok and paid it. Not that it?s a huge problem but then my dad asked to take the cart to the car to load his clubs and he screamed absolutely not we don?t do that here. Maybe you do that at other courses in Allentown but here we don?t. We?re not even from Allentown so I?m not sure where that came from. I used to play that with my high school team pleasant valley all the time since it?s our home course but now I don?t feel comfortable going back
Challenging course, great views, with green fees of a 9 hole course. Tip. Eat before going as there's no kitchen at least when we were there). They have beer, drinks, and chips... There is a banquet room and outdoor deck overlooking the area. Potential to be something more.
My wife and I are both retirees and drove down from New York to visit relatives in Wilkes-Barre and decided to play the course on a whim. The hospitality of the staff, the young men we were teamed up with and the condition of the course made for a great day. We owned a second home in Wilkes-Barre for 25 years and always appreciated the kind spirit of the people of PA. Please God we will make it back. ??????
