Green Elephant Gourmet - Palo Alto

A few friends I visited this afternoon. food service is excellent. owners are welcoming; menu is a very nIce range. our group has been there today before 1 of our group likes to come often. recommend this restaurant.

We came here by accident because the close-by 4th of July celebrations did not have sufficient eating possibilities. What started out of an emergency situation will become something permanent. We really like this place and will drop by more often. It starts already with the tissue box at the door such that you don 't have to touch the handle. It shows you that they take COVID and the health of their customers serious. Both waiters are very friendly and attentive. The food is very delicious. The mango salad was exceptional, especially due to the peanut dressing . The appetizer sampler consists of fried food, which we did not realize when ordering. It was nevertheless very delicious. A specialty that comes with the appetizers are the dipping sauces. They say one is spicy but it 's actually not that spicy and very flavorful instead. It 's more the kind of Wasabi spicy. The sweet sauce was good, too. We had chicken with broccoli and rice. It tasted very good. The veggis where just steamed right and in contrast to other places there was not too much oil or salt used. A true gem, this place.

I eat here with my family fairly often it's a convenient and serviceable neighborhood restaurant, but not somewhere I'd go good for a special occasion. The food is reasonably good (our young kids really like it). The service is usually good enough, but with the odd wobble the one time we came here with another family of 4 there was a lot of friction with the staff and the experience was pretty tense. Reading other reviews I wonder whether they're not so comfortable handling big groups. I also wish they'd give the bathrooms a good scrub. But we look past that and keep going back.

Would come back, food is good. I was blown away how good the pot stickers are. They taste like homemade. I was surprised with the amount of beef in the beef dish. Really enjoyed the food.

The staff was friendly, but very slow. I came with my family at 6:00, hoping to beat the dinner rush, and it was half full, but a server came to take our order only at 6:30. I like that it's family run and is an Asian fusion. The food was so so, but not incredible.
