Terún - Palo Alto

A few friends and I came to Terun with a dinner reservation for indoor seating. The restaurant has a nice vibe inside, and also has a lot of outdoor seating both in the front and the back (I’ve been to the back patio before and it has a really pretty setup and nice atmosphere). We also liked the aesthetic presentation of the dishes! In terms of taste, the truffle egg pasta special was so delicious, although it was also pricier than the other dishes. The rigatoni and risotto were pretty good too. We also ordered the Napoletana which was the first time we all had anchovies on pizza—it gives a strong and salty fish taste to the pizza so some of us liked it more than others. Since it was one of our group members’ birthday recently, we also ordered a tiramisu and the waitress helped light a candle for us. The tiramisu was delicious. Overall, we had a great time celebrating together.

To start, the cocktail menu features delightful options like sangria and innovative cocktails. The margarita has a unique Italian twist and comes highly recommended! The sangria was also superb. When it comes to food, the offerings are fantastic. If you're a pizza lover, you'll appreciate their wood-fired oven, which delivers pizzas cooked to perfection. We tried the pear and Gorgonzola pizza, which struck the ideal balance between sweet and tangy. Additionally, the ravioli filled with slow-cooked short ribs is absolutely irresistible! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a few small plates and cocktails while engaging in great conversation. While it has Italian influences, don't assume it's all about pasta—everything is light, flavorful, and served quickly. Overall, it’s a solid 10/10!

The food at Terun was nearly as outstanding as the company of my dining companions. We appreciated the laid-back ambiance of the back patio, and I heard the Sangrita Bianca was fantastic. The pizzas are perfectly sized for one very hungry person, but I suggest sharing them. The Porcini and Quattro Stagioni pizzas are both solid choices.

Don't miss this place! It's definitely worth the visit, and you won't be disappointed. The ingredients are top-notch, and the staff is attentive and fantastic. You can tell there's a special Italian touch in the little details. Arrive early to enjoy a delightful cocktail. The food is served quickly, and the portions are generous. I'll be back whenever I'm in the area!

Good little Italian joint. Food was decent, but not the best. The antipasto plate was the highlight. Lots of variety there. The butternut squash ravioli was good, could have used a little more sage brown butter. Pizza was good and flavorful. Service was decent, although our server didn't quite know the menu. Give this place a shot. It may not be your favorite place, but you won't likely regret it.
